Sean may be the loveably scruffy psychopath with the irresistible boyish grin but his new wife, the divine Roxanne, is the perfect soap creation: adorable, pretty and stark raving mad...one of life's most loveable lunatics. It's a marriage made in soap heaven that's doomed to a dramatic spontaneous combustion at the very least.
I love Roxy to bits and rampaging the square in her wedding dress she looked an absolute peach, guaranteed to make every watching male dream of galloping upstairs with her, if not actually down the aisle...if only more brides took their vows in similarly saucy attire.
Brilliantly portrayed by Rita Simons, Roxy is a gloriously hair-brained tart with a heart, leaping insanely from one ludicrous adventure to another without the least thought for the consequences...always enthralling fun and a perfect example to all young ladies who aspire to the dizzy heights of wayward, steamy insanity.
I pray that the intertwined institutions of marriage and motherhood don't spoil the new Mrs Slater, reducing her to a fate of drudgery, common sense and dreary responsibility, that really would be too much to bear, instead let her shine on like the crazy diamond that she is...the world needs all the Roxy's it can get!
