By the time i was born, she had already been dead for 10 months...the eternal screen goddess and Hollywood's greatest sex symbol, Marilyn Monroe (1926-1962) burned out and passed away at the age of only 36.
Above any other, she is the one woman from all history that i would have most dearly loved to meet in person and share a night of conversation with.
I never tire of watching her films nor gazing at her images, but i know that these are only the remnants of a celluloid persona that bore little relation to the real woman inside...we only see glimpses of what she may have been.
Yes, she was devastatingly hot, with her girlish giggle, innocent looks, gorgeous curves, hypnotising wiggle...all these things and so much more besides...but she was also shy, afraid, often lonely and very insecure.
Her obvious vulnerability made her so endearing and captivating, she had so much more going for her than mere sex-appeal, she was truly someone very special...perhaps i'll be fortunate enough to meet her in the next world?
Her movies that i always enjoy most are Some Like It Hot, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, (which featured Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend), and The Seven Year Itch.
If anyone reading this has not seen any of her movies then i would urge you to see them without delay, perhaps then you may begin to understand why not only i but millions of others throughout the years and across the world love her so deeply.

I love Marilyn and I am a woman!
I think she spent her life being exploited as much as she tried to be the one in charge, she was too vulnerable, and all she wanted was a child of her own, the one thing she didnt manage to get.
She has one thing that many other actresses and actors dont have, she is a legend.
