Oh to meet a fairy
Just once in all my days,
A pretty thing
With sparkling wings
Born of a moonbeam's rays.
She need but stay a moment
A brief eternity,
To be entranced
In the fairy dance
Would set my spirit free.
Alas, i've sought so long now
I fear that i'll not find,
The fairy queen
In a waking dream
That's ever on my mind.

all day seems to be dusky twilight lately so maybe my chances are increased?

getting hauled before the beak on a charge of 'loitering for fairies' wouldn't look good in the local paper at all!
......make a wonderful headline though! 
that means you would have to do the loitering in disguise.....Might I recommend a very tall hat and an immense stick on mustash?

i would look rather grand in that disguise but surely it'd frighten the fairies away?
i'd hate to add 'fairy scaring' to my already lengthy list of crimes!
...I think they'd like the tall hat....it would give you an other worldly air about you.....so they'd not realise you were a mere human.......

thats a good point, hun...but knowing my luck, i'd be mistaken for a tree and an entire family of elves would move into my trousers!

Yes....and the hat will be most useful...you'll be able to keep bottles or cans stored in it
....which will make it tricky to walk without dropping it all but will make you look very grave and imposing

one of those old party 7 tins would fit very nicely into a top hat, i should think...with a discreet tube leading down to my mouth so i could get quietly sozzled as i strolled along the prom
excellent!! You can look elegant and classy imbibing your tipple without the yobbish vulgarity of tipping great cans of beer down yer neck! marvelous!!

...and when i'd finished it all up, i'd saunter along to the bushes and fall in amongst them to sleep it all off without anyone being any the wiser!
..at which point the fairies would come and waft you off to their majical kingdom....so that when you woke with a raging thirst and bursting bladder you'd have no idea where you were........

a bursting bladder...hmmm...that wouldn't make a very good first impression in fairyland, would it?
well it would be like in Gullivers Travels maybe with the Liliputians or something only far more .....dramatic!!! Let's hope it doesn't burst and you make it to a suitable bush ....I just recall falling asleep after lots of beeryweery and one wakes with 2 thoughts.......... and I'm sure the fairies wouldn't be phased at all......they'd probably just giggle little tinkling gigglesand be very impressed.....

i'd try my best not to do that with the little people, i'd aim very carefully away from them all!
I'm sure your aim will be excellent....and the horror of the bursting bladder is beginning to make me think about Bagshot again....... ...moving swiftly on......

yes, i cannot nor dare not try to compete with that most renowned specimen of burst-bladders, Bagshot...may he rest in pieces, wherever he is
I suspect he rests in the merest scraps of fragments........and so please do not let your bladder even attempt to emulated such catastrophe If the worst comes to the worse....it could be used as an inflatable buoy to keep an eye on Veronica Arse as she propells her way solemnly across the tossing oceons of the globe!

i would like to keep my bladder handy for whenever i may need it, hun, rather than allowing it to go rampaging across the heaving seas with an oversized bottom!

You're right......twould be a tragedy to have it vanish off in tempestuous old torrents......
and if the heads are in that boat twill make the most macabre little entourage for some poor unsuspecting soul to stumble upon!

now there's a thought! They may be there indeed....but because they are only little they be obscured by the longish grass and people may trip over them Imagine tripping over a head?

and if tripping over a head isn't bad enough, just imagine the terror in feeling their teeth gnashing at your ankles as you strolled through the long grass!

i think maybe Worzel Gummidge has his eye on a few new heads for Christmas and may fancy them to add to his collection?
y'know I dont remember much about WG...but he is welcome to a head I guess......scary though.....heck it's that sleepy time thing...my head has no thinking power left and my eyes have gone slitty.....

its similar to when i eat or drink too much but in that case, my eyes go bleary and droopy
