How proud should we be of our English girls in the World Cup right now?
The answer is very proud indeed, especially having seen them destroy our old football foes Argentina 6-1 today in China, in front of 30,000 fans and thus qualifying for next weekends quarter finals.
What an absolute treat it was, coming with the added bonus of seeing the goal avalanche started by an Argie own goal ...later an Argentine a red-card too...priceless.

I enjoy watching the womens game and am always slightly puzzled that it doesn't receive far more media coverage than it currently does, they certainly deserve it.
Sadly, even with a World Cup on, the womens game still goes largely unnoticed.
They just seem to get on with the game they love instead of spending all their energy diving, rolling around feigning injury or trying to hoodwink the officials...setting an excellent example to their vastly overpaid male counterparts.
We may not see our rugby or cricket teams returning with their respective World Cups but let's hope the England women can brilliantly succeed where others may fail, and when they do, let's sing their praises from the rooftops.
Reverting to type for a moment, i have to cast my vote for the star babe in our squad, which simply has to be striker Eniola Aluko...i'm always happy to whistle for a hottie, especially one who's so talented.
Well done to the entire squad and good luck for the remainder of the tournament, bring back the cup girls!
