In my last post, i extolled the virtues of two adorable women who were both hearth-throbs of mine more years ago than either i nor they would care to remember and i mentioned that they, Felicity Kendall and Paula Wilcox, are still very attractive women even now.
Which made me pause to think of a few other more mature ladies that still retain their looks and appeal wonderfully well.
The passing of time may grey our hair, loosen our skin and decorate us with crows-feet but true beauty -although not quite eternal- can shine radiantly despite the passage of time and the turmoils of life.
Some may turn to cosmetic means of defying the ageing process and if it keeps them feeling good and looking great, then why not?
True kudos, however, goes to those that can grow old gracefully, as nature intended, happy in themselves and not seeking to become mutton dressed as lamb. The self-confidence and self-awareness that comes with maturity can make a woman very attractive and desirable indeed.
Some names that spring to mind -and could still make me spring to attention- include Sharon Osborne (54), Chrissie Hynde (55), Twiggy (57), Olivia Newton-John and Lulu (both 58), Joanna Lumley (61), Deborah Harry (62) and Barbara Streisand (65).
As i would rightly remark to the younger generation, there's many a good tune played on an old fiddle.
Next year, the ever-stunning Michelle Pfeiffer turns 50 and will undoubtedly still look divine in another 10 years...what finer example could you need to see my point?

I agree with your premise, my wife's sixty and she's got a better figure now than when we met. Two children and the pressures of life naturally take their toll, but she's the open air, no make up type, and I love her still after forty years together.
You didn't mention love, but I 'spect it's in there somewhere.
