A while ago i was asked which sitcom would best suit my life and after thinking it over i realised that i'd already answered the question back in december when i wrote...This Post. Therefore i decided to think again.

To truly feel comfortable for me, it had to be something from the 70's, which is when most of the classics were around...

Rising Damp, Dad's Army, Steptoe & Son, On The Buses, Bless This House, The Liver Birds, Fawlty Towers, Porridge, The Fall & Rise Of Reginald Perrin, Til Death Us Do Part, Open All Hours...

We really were spoilt for choice in those days...i find myself torn between playing Tom in The Good Life or Robin in Man About The House, i can't choose between them because i would dearly love to step into either man's shoes.

Robin was a guy that i envied enormously, sharing his life with two gorgeous girls in the shape of Jo and Chrissie; one of my earliest celebrity crushes was for the stunning Paula Wilcox who played the latter...i was besotted with her and thought she had the most beautiful eyes i'd ever seen, i still do.

Thirty-something years on, i saw her in Emmerdale and i must say...i still would, with great pleasure.

Meanwhile, Tom Good shared his life of self-sufficiency with the lovely Barbara, played by the absolutely divine Felicity Kendall, someone else that i fell in love with instantly. Like Ms Wilcox, Felicity still looks amazing today after all these years.

They both prove, along with many other more mature ladies, that beauty does not disappear upon hitting 30...or 40...or 50, a truly beautiful woman is beautiful for life.

Fresh in my memory even after thirty years is the vision of Felicity's twinkling eyes, playful smile and perfect little bottom clad in tight jeans...
