Mankind writhed in sin and ignorance until the year of our Lord, one thousand, nine hundred and ninety-six, when the light was truly shone upon our woeful existence and everything became reborn, shiny and new again.
The Lord sent down a Holy band of Angels to grace us with a new kind of testimony, a divine message from above that proclaimed the only true way...Girl Power.
The five angelic graces bestowed upon us all were known to believers and unbelievers alike as Sporty, Scary, Ginger, Baby and Posh.
Time and again i asked myself how just one simple man could fall for five girls at once, it was love at first sight.
The world would never be the same again, they were ominpresent and intoxicating, five bright shining stars that burned throughout the universe, scorching our senses with inspiration in strange tongues and fabulous splendour...
...until the fateful day that they left us and once more plunged the world into darkness.
Almost a decade has passed in mourning their departure, false prophets and imposters have sprung up all around but none can even dare to raise a feeble glimmer in the gloom where once The Spice Girls blazed so magnificently like the midday sun.
But the time of the Second Coming is nigh, soon the universe will be alight with their enchanting music again, as we joyously behold the return of the chosen few. I allow myself a long sigh and begin to count the minutes...
Back where I belong now,
