A recent online survey named 10 things that women do which most annoy men, i have merely added my own brief remarks to them, so please don't hang, draw and quarter me...i'm only the messenger here.

In the spirit of fairness, i would welcome all women leaving suggestions here so that i may post an alternative listing of the things about us males which most irritate yourselves.

1: Use sex as a weapon...some women do it and hold their gagging partner to ransom, if her demands aren't met, or if he upsets her in any way, there'll be no fun tonight. Men do tend to expect it as a right, however, forgetting that A lady's favours must be earned, no matter how long you've been together.

2: Talk incessantly...men can say what is required using few words, whereas a woman may divulge every tiny detail of her thoughts, often not only going all around the houses to make her point but frequently making detours to topics which bear no relation whatsoever to the conversation. The secret is Listen to her, or at least, pretend that you are.

3: Shop til they drop...most girls love a good shopping spree, flashing the cash and credit cards all over the place and taking absolute aeons deciding what to buy. The time passes at a snails pace for the male in attendance, unless he occupies his mind in ogling all those delectable bums and boobs that are passing by.

4: Become too emotional...with the first sight of a few tears or sobs, the man becomes panic stricken, powerless to help and without a clue how to calm his female, he prefers logical problems that he can work out and solve. Just put your arm around her and let her cry for a bit, with soothing words even if you don't really know what she's getting so upset about.

5: Invade our personal space...i really don't understand the gripe with this one, i know we all need our own little space in life but having your woman around, even when she bothers you, is far nicer than either sitting on your own or spending time listening to your mates bullsh*tting.

6: Speak in code...from asking what he is thinking to ensnaring him with theoretical questions, a woman can make her man ill-at-ease with her probing and delving, never saying what she really means, try to be non-commital and pray that Rule 1 doesn't come into play.

7: Become needy...i think this springs from the conflicting female proclamations of asserting their independance and simultaneously demanding a protector, comforter and soul-mate, not to mention that scariest of words, commitment. If she needs you then just shut up and be there for her, not being needed is much worse.

8: Act jealous...some women need constant reassurance that they're the only attractive female in existence and that your eyes could never, ever stray even for a moment. Any minor attention bestowed upon another woman can lead to the declaration of World War III. All you can do is reassure her often and hope that she doesn't notice the way you look at that busty barmaid.

9: Criticize other women...low self-esteem in women often comes from bitchy remarks or sly comments originating from other females, who all seem to say too fat, too thin, too tarty, too snobby, too this and too that. It's not a nice trait but let her get on with it and thank God she's not gunning for you, this time.

10: Pretend to be virtuous...we all have a past and we've all fooled around, so why does she pretend she's only had 2 boyfriends in her life when really it's more like 22? It shouldn't matter and if pretending to be almost saintly impresses a man then she should be chatting-up the Pope, because anyone worth their salt will love her just as she is, not as your mother wants her to be.
