The recent google ads that have graced my blog have been mainly for chocolate, based on what i've written lately, i suppose. Chocolate strawberries, chocolate fountains etc. but one in particular keeps catching my eye and making me wish to learn more.
Chocolate starfish.
Yes, someone somewhere is advertising chocolate starfish, obviously a much sought-after item in our busy modern lives, a rare delicacy that we obviously don't see enough of these days and which needs to be given a little more attention if we're to be fully-rounded and happy citizens of this planet.
What do we know about these shy little creatures that hide away where the sun doesn't shine and studiously avoid public display?
They are apparently quite common and many people have encountered them but they remain becalmed in the realms of embarrassment and shame. They simply seem to be one of the things in life that go largely ignored and unappreciated, which is almost criminally scandalous.
I think there ought to be a Chocolate Starfish Day where we can all unite in celebration because nothing so praiseworthy should go eternally unappreciated or neglected.
We are always being warned by the all-knowing television in the corner that various species and breeds are facing extinction through mankinds' global abuses but consider this sobering thought:
What state would we all be in if the seemingly insignificant little fellows disappeared altogether and left us to face life without them?

Chocolate Starfish means something totally different to me!
