My local radio station has been running a thing this week where each presenter has to pick their all-time favourite album, something which i could never do as to choose just one out of all the albums i've ever owned and loved would be almost insulting to all those i omitted.
It did make me think on the matter though and i've managed to narrow it down to my favourite ten but only if i restrict each band to one solitary entry.
Each one of these brilliant works evokes not only many special memories for me but also has an atmosphere and style all of its own, standing head and shoulders above what passes for decent music these days.
In chronological order then, here is the stuff of dreams...well, my dreams anyway. I know my choices are decades old and totally irrelevant to the modern era, for which i make no apology whatsoever.
