My week has been split into two distinct halves: the working days that stretch out gloomily and endlessly and take up the lions share of my time, and I'm A Celebrity...

I wonder how well i'd get on in the jungle in their little camp?

Lack of food and decent sleep would probably bother me a lot more than encounters with creepy-crawlies or rats, not that i'm a fan of either; of the human inhabitants, i think i'd get on best with Myleene, Dean, Jan and Jason, being still a little unsure of the others but the imminent arrival of Malandra Burrows would be like a burst of warm sunshine to me.

Am i the only person watching who likes Jan Leeming? Yes, she's living in her own little world at times but she seems like a genuinely nice woman to me and she's good entertainment value. When i was growing up my heart was given to only one newsreader and that was the gorgeous Anna Ford, but Jan always appeared very pleasant too.

I think Johnny Rotten had the best idea when he was living there, disappearing into the jungle as often as possible to commune with the trees, plants and wildlife, an infinitely better option than remaining in camp and bitching the day away.

Last night our eldest went to Gunwharf Quays and saw the Cheeky Girls on stage for Children In Need, not that he seemed very impressed with them. Meanwhile, my belly was full to bursting having consumed half a roast chicken with crusty bread rolls followed by an enormous helping of apple pie with lashings of fresh cream. There was so much that even i couldn't finish it!
