    Fern On A Beach.

Today i read a short article in the sunday paper with the man who i consider to be one of the worlds luckiest, you may or may not know his name, Phil Vickery; not because he's a celebrity tv chef who can no doubt concoct all manner of delicious meals & tasty treats, getting well-paid to do so, but because he happens to be the man who's married to the gorgeous Fern Britton.

The pictures published of her in the summer on holiday in her bikini caused a small storm of criticism for the simple reason that she's a size 18 & had the audacity to show some flesh in the sun on a beach.. Many people agreed with this view but i'm strongly of the opinion that its complete rubbish.

Fern is exactly the way many men (including me!) like their women to be: pretty, shapely, warm, affectionate, funny, flirtatious, a touch naughty & always captivating. Mr Vickery seems to fully appreciate just how lucky her is to have such a wonderful wife, so God bless him & his adorable spouse.I'm in toal agreement with his views because i feel just that way about my own beloved partner.

If girls or women want to look like skeletal stick-insects, all ribs, elbows & breastbones, then thats their choice, i know many men are attracted to these body-types, each to his own, its simply that i don't think anyone should be insulted or receive nasty comments purely based on their ample curves. We all appreciate different qualities in others so why not "live & let live"?

To my mind, curvacious women are very sexy! The female figure always looks most alluring when there are plenty of curves, the soft & yeilding sight (not to mention feel) of female flesh is second to none...but then again, i'm very biased!

What i dislike is the way the media, especially those sections of it aimed at women or girls, portrays the ideal shape as that of a supermodel, ie-similar to that of someone suffering from an eating disorder. Let's celebrate the fantastic female form instead of condemning it!

Life would be pretty dreary if women were straight up & down like men, after all. Long may the likes of Fern Britton -Lorraine Kelly too, for that matter- grace our screens & our lives!

The main thing in life is to try & be happy, to love the special person who we've chosen to be with, regardless of what others may think of them. All we can ask in life is a little love & happiness, thats what we'll all remember most & will warm our hearts, when we reach the end of our days. There is said to be someone for everyone, so take care of them when you find them!
